Why haven’t the Baltics produced anything of value in regards to music, art, film, philosophy, science, or literature?

I don't think anyone translated In the Shadow of the Altars yet, except some Lithuanian expats in Australia but they never published, I'd do it but I'm poor and have no time or money.

Interesting anthropological fact: the blond hair trait is believed to have originated in Estonia.

Except we have but we're not in the autistic little western subhuman coffee club where the french and germans suck each others cannolis and pretend that molesting little boys is artistic culture. We have plenty of GOD tier works in Lithuania, but how would you know about them if you're not Lithuanian? Stupid fucking nigger.

This is the case with all three, I assume. They just don't get translated into English, where literature is concerned, and that has nothing to do with worth, just a natural consequence of the countries being tiny, and of the culture being historically pretty disconnected from the West

Latvia has the Lāčplēsis poem which should be more well known. I think the character has some similarities towards Hercules. I could be wrong but he reminded me of a lot of qualities of him when I first heard about him when I was there.

There are good literary works from Latvia, like those of Aleksandrs Čaks, Rainis, Aleksandrs Grīns, Andrejs Pumpurs and some others. The problem is, that they don't get translated. On the rare occasion that they are translated, it is in really bad quality.

Lāčplēsis zaudē savu vērtību ārpus Latvijas.

(not the guy you replied to)
Jā, piekritīšu. Lāčplēsis ir nacionāls dārgums, un citām tautām es domāju tas diez vai daudz ko izteiks.

There are a few notable scientists who attended Dorpat/Tartu University in Estonia.
Emil Lenz, the discoverer of Lenz's law, a pretty fundemental electrical principle.
Wilhelm Ostwald (Born in Riga) a Nobel laureate in chemistry
At the very least Estonia was a cozy place for Germans and Russians to go to school.
Regarding literature from there
Lots of it was about defining a post colonial/imperial identity so unless one's a Balt or a Baltiboo it probably would be of little interest, but I wouldn't say it's of no value.

They have quite a few really great composers. Arvo is the pleb filter of Estonian classical, he is great but there is so much more.
