I posted a meta thread on /qa/. Post in it if you want to and tell the mods about the problems /lit/ has.

Name one occasion where a /qa/ thread ever resulted in change. It's a containment board for busbodies.

Yeah,. but it's all we have
Friendly reminder to post there whenever you get unfairly banned.

What we really need is to get the philosophy crowd to also start advocating for this, but I doubt they will since this is essentially their board now.

>>13946907
What does that have to do with anything? There is a first time for everything.

No there isn't.

/qa/ is a board that exists solely to prevent the site staff from being accused of being dictators.

>> No.13949794

Why don't you goofy bastards leave off and stop trying to shape everything to how you want it to be, making the so people can only talk about what you want them to talk about? /lit/ has never had regular moderation and it was fine until a few years ago when you cockbags got occasionally come in here and delete a dozen threads every few hours. Most of the time they're hitting some interesting stuff, like we used to have some great bible threads until they were ran off the board. You shortsighted cunts don't know what your asking for.

>> No.13949795

These are really poor examples of bad threads. There are much worse ones than this. I don't know why you chose these.

>> No.13949806

>>13949795
Fairly certain they were not picked, they were just the first six threads at the time the thread was created.

>> No.13949812

>>13949794
This is part of the problem, people need to be posting effort threads and good humourous threads. But at the same time jannies have been deleting and banning for on-topic shit, effort threads, and memes.
So we have two problems working against us that gets the moralfags wanting even more moderation which will only make it worse.
Also, don't know what you're talking about with Christians getting run off, they literally spam the board worse than accelerationists.

>> No.13949822

did these faggots seriously just delete the scruton thread? that was a good topic with good discussion wtf

>> No.13949823

>>13946791
Last week I made an off topic thread that ended with "books for this" (or something to that effect) and promptly received a three day ban. So the mods aren't completely useless. I think we just need more of them.

But they also deleted the two acc threads. So if we get two shit deletes for every effortpost thread this place will be clean in no time.
Imagine no christcucks, and no accfags too.

There are far more shit posts than good posts. If we lose a good thread for every two shit threads, there won't be any good threads left.

Until a few years ago...when traffic increased. The traffic increase makes it more difficult for high quality threads to compete with low quality shitposts. If you don't have a problem with high quality threads getting archived within 16 hours and being drowned in a sea of low quality shitposts then you are part of the problem.

That is hardly any better than the vegan vs carnivore fighting that get posted to /ck/. Nothing profound is being said in that post. And the original post is an awful post filled with buzzwords and nothing of substance.

I never said it was profound or a great thread, but there is no reason for it being deleted.
People are stupid, zoomers who have barely read and can't even write at a grade-five level are taking over. It's shit, and yet still better than anything else available and anything you have posted.
People posted why they thought he was wrong about art, his books, quotes, and arguments. Actual effortposts here almost always get ignored. Ask me how I know.

>> No.13950059

>>13950040
I have yet to see an effortpost get deleted. Your threads that mention "book" once in the OP are low quality and off-topic.

As someone who tries to keep a good thread going now and then, when you have success, you don't want to reboot the same thread the next day or week after it's archived. This makes things perhaps worse if you're in between an old good thread and a yet invented new better thread. But whatever. If you don't like the board, fine. Great. You're better for it. Go read a book. Go write.

/his/ was created to contain the philosophy fags because they used to fuck up /lit/. I see they are slowly seeping back in and no one is reporting them. The are one of the reasons /lit/ is shit recently. Hiro made a new board (his) to fight the problem rather than give us a mod years ago. I don't think he will give us one now.

What will likely happen is that he will assign a janitor for two weeks or so, and ban all the philosophy and off topic pol threads. After a while they will get the idea. Just like the last time.

Just report philosophy threads that talk about shit without a book being the main discussion.
Report the poorly veiled /pol/ threads.

Why did they call it /his/ then and not /phil/ or /hum/. No one gives a shit about History enough to have a board for it. They should have named it better.
