Have any of you guys read this book? I thought it was spectacular. It seems like a really nihilistic book to me. But it's a kind of nihilism that affirms god.

I liked it. I like how it was written on the pretense that it would be easier for Japanese to relate to humble cowardly ppl like Kichijiro than heroic martyr saints.
