Why do twitter accounts feel the need to shill themselves on /lit/ of all places?
They'd do far better on /v/ or /pol/.

Justin is such a grifter. I followed him for a while but eventually it became extremely obvious to me that he was more concerned with creating all this pre-meditated controversy about himself rather than actually saying anything worth listening to. All he talks about is being 'cancelled' and so on, it's like a fetish object for him. Those tryhard tweets he made about Epstein and Greta were just shitty provocations so he could retroactively say "Look at all the people who want to silence me". I also get the feeling that whenever he says anything, he's in the process of selling me a MLM scam.

him and his adjacents are all pretty much like that- more focused on creating controversies about themselves than insight. Khachiyan, Dasha, Murphy, mcrumps to a degree all do this. exhausting considering some of them are actually quite smart and have flashes of good insight

We haven't left the cancel era, so unfortunately it's very germane. It's a new form of power, among other things, so studying it from one of its well read victims is valuable.

props to him for giving more obscure individuals and ideas a platform i guess, but everything i've watched on his channel has been insufferable. i remember trying to watch his interview with nyx and after an hour of nyx not being able to make a succinct/coherent thought and having to stop to pull up documents to read from, i realised all these twitter people are just autistic pseuds. then i tried watching his interview with dasha which was completely void of anything interesting, then i saw he had two hour long videos describing every single sexual experience he'd had and i couldn't take it anymore. >>14125049 is probably right.

Once he got a taste of that sweet patreon money it was over, although you wouldn't be unreasonable to argue that it was his goal all along given his the fact that he was a professor and professors tend to be climbers. I enjoyed his earlier writings on truth and sociology but he's too much of a bug to be anything great.

Politics professor in the UK who quit his job when it looked like he was about to be fired. Author of the unfortunately titled BASED DELEUZE. Briefly the focus of twitter's hate for making an equivalency between the maturity levels of Greta Thunberg and Epstein's underage victims.

I listened to 'based deleuze' and found it interesting, but I'm not a deleuze scholar so I can't evaluate its validity. On the other hand this guy does fit the stereotype of a 'skinny little faggot' so I kind of hate him a little bit by default.

>> No.14126423

That photo makes him like Johna Hill so much I just can't take it seriously.

To the anons who read based Deleuze. Are there any interesting points made in it?

>> No.14126489

It’s cool that theres is a young public intellectual doing his thing, but a majority of his guests have no place speaking publicly. And I’m not sure Justin is interesting enough to counteract how uninteresting many of his guests are.

The DC / Nina combo + each of his roommates are some of the only good podcasts.

He did a show that was venting about a guy who turned down some book proposal of his masquerading as an interview. It sort of worked as comedy as he's not terribly introspective.
