I could write a novel about this but I'll make it quick:
>ask why the people diagnosing you are unable to help you, and if they are not legitimate healers why would you consider them legitimate diagnosers
>realize to live is to suffer, accept it
>ask what is the source of your acute suffering (you are a /fit/ fag so I assume it is alienation from the masculine ideal and women)
>realize that in a capitalist society you are going to feel this alienation to the people around you if you are not a product yourself that they can easily consume
>ask if the identity you want to internalize is one defined by mental illness, or should you perhaps embrace a more invigorating one
>pursue knowledge continuously from actual thinkers and not gnome incels that have mental breakdowns on park benches (Nietzsche and Foucault I would start with)

do sport and meditate and a lot of the so called "symptoms" will go away

i think everything without abnormally long sentences and simple wording will do; start with murakamis kafka on the shore if u want some fiction; otherwise id recommend for the more buddhistic interests that may brought you into reading tolle to read the dhammapada first; bc its not that complicated and reads very easily

So do you believe in adhd meds like ritalin or no?

>> No.14397370

>>14397238
I would use it with caution as it can intensify other conditions on the come off, but stims seem to be worth it as they can help you concentrate on important tasks with fewer side effects than antidepressants

One should also be cautious as stimulants are recreationally desirable, and it can be easy for some to abuse their meds.

Not that this is a reason to not take them. A responsible adult has no problem with them, and being a responsible adult is the basic starting point to overcoming your ailments.

>ADHD isnt real
Yes it is but it is overdiagnosed and children are over medicated for it. Sometimes it is just because of a person's lifestyle (diet, exercise, etc.) Sometimes kids that are just normal are medicated to make them easier to handle. Some people's minds are actually wired differently though and this results in what we call ADHD. Often times we just need to modify how were learn and how we do things. In extreme cases some of us need medication.

Eckhart Tolle is a cult leader and crackpot, and like every crackpot he includes a sliver a truth amidst a mountain of bullshit.
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is the real deal, but it isn't some magic cure or the end-all of therapy. Depression and anxiety disorders can include ruminating thoughts that one becomes immersed in and experiences as an emotional reality, creating vicious cycles. What mindfulness meditation can do is simply train you to de-immerse from this perceived reality of your thoughts and detach yourself from their insistence.

>fewer side effects than antidepressants
I would strongly disagree, having experienced both
