Not feeling this one. I just don't see the average shitposter here conforming their views based on social pressure or popularity. If anything, there's a tendency to find obscure authors and use their obscurity as a mark of distinction from the norm, so as to feign(?) superiority over the masses.
And as to what "converting emotions to intellect(TM)" means, I have no idea. ESL?
