There's no point unless you are already good looking. Do you think a good looking man had ever had to ask "How do I become masculine?" No matter how self disciplined a man is, he will never be considered masculine if he is smitten by the curse of ugliness. To be masculine is simply to conform with the physical ideal, it has nothing to do with actions whatsoever. A rapper can watch anime and be considered masculine. A 4chan user can dedicate his life to reading and self discipline and and be considered a "basedboy." It is all arbitrary and meaningless. Just set goals and work towards them, trying to be "masculine" is in itself a contradiction.

Severely underrated! The classic Greek and Roman ideals are absolutely based. I would recommend OP taking a look at Cicero on natural law and reading up on Roman virtue if he finds Homer inspiring.

Personally, I would recommend Jack Donovans The Way of Men. Not a literary masterpiece to be sure, but it expertly breaks down the concept of masculinity into easily digestible parts. Those parts correspond to both internal and external charachteristics a man should cultivate: Strength, mastery, honor and courage.

How to cultivate and maintain those is something you'll have to look elsewhere for.
