Hey, so I'm actually an English teacher (ESL English as a second language) and I don't read any books. I've never actually sat down and read an entire book through. The only books I've read are programming cookbooks, and only parts that I needed at the time. I am not interested in fantasy, most fiction, or anything like that. I am interested in real things. I like history, some science, or books that I can learn from. I guess if you have books on cyberpunk/ghost in the shell type books that are fantasy, I'd be into those, but that's about it. I am also really into learning about different religions, culture/languages, philosophy, how to outsmart people or outplay people (not necessarily logically but more like social engineering), and books about interesting teaching/teacher experiences (like the anime Great Teacher Onizuka or the likes). I also like poetry I think. I'm not too sure because I haven't read too much. I'm also into paranormal things that could be real, like japanese depictions of yokai or stories of djinn or succubi. Anyway, I am a great writer, believe it or not. I've won writing awards in school in the past. I want to get even better and be able to teach writing to non native speakers. I feel like I need to be reading more in order to teach better if that makes sense. Send me some book recommendations.

Just pick some interesting stuff from the Western canon.
