This is a one of two anthology of a good cross section which can lead you to further studies, you may nix the rest of Proudhon for Stirner, or skip to Bakunin and Kropotkin or w/e.
There’s also Anarchism: A Documentary History of Libertarian Ideas edited by Robert Graham. Three volumes and really long. I haven’t read it but it looks good.

I started with Conquest of Bread by Kropotkin and God and the State by Bakunin but the essay "Anarchy" by Errico Malatesta is a also a decent place to begin.

The only true anarchist

>> No.14759285

Malatesta's "Anarchy" and "An Anarchist Programme" are short and very good general introductions to Anarchism, plus they are "primary sources". After that, you can check out this anthology >>14758207, or Goldman's essays >>14758620
Then branch off to Bakunin's God and the State, Proudhon's What is Property?, Kropotkin's The Conquest of Bread, etc. Another good introduction is Alexander Berkman's What is Anarchism?

Solid choices till you brought up Lenin. Why don’t you like Bookchin?

>> No.14761244

>>14761232
i really enjoy reading writers that i can feel their anger and contempt for the people or ideas they are writing against so lenin gets points from me for that. bookchin has a lot of errors in his work and seemed to present himself as the guy who would come along and "correct" anarchism which stemmed from his old marxist/stalinist/trotskyist roots. i just feel like you get the wrong idea about anarchy if you read him too early

>>14761244
>I just feel like you get the wrong idea about anarchy if you read him too early
That seems fair. I see his hybrid as a reasonable way to go about a transitional period. Statelessness can come later after the last of capitalism and it’s corruption have been shirked off.
What errors though?

>> No.14761310

>>14761300
bob black does a full writeup of the errors in anarchy after leftism but essentially he clearly dislikes primitivists like zezran and will misuse information to make their ideas seem unreasonable
