Where to start reading if I want to get into post modern philosophy without starting from the Greeks?

"start with the Greeks" is kind of a meme BUT reading Plato is so insanely valuable. I don't recommend skipping him. Pre-Socratics aren't necessary imo but reading a few Platonic dialogues as well as Nicomachean Ethics is essential for anyone who wants to understand the genesis of modern phil

with a knowledge of the ancient greek language and with historical context, yes. reading the sophists in translation is as cringey and worthless as new-age pseuds reading the tao te ching or the analects in translation and pretending to understand anything.
