I like Joe Rogan but he also isn’t the smartest guy, nor does he try to be and he’s certainly “smart enough.” But the fact that he tossed Dave Reuben around on his show in a discussion of economics and public policy, which is what Reuben “specializes” in, is just sad. Especially because Joe takes little or no interest in these subjects. Reuben is a clown and he makes dumb people dumber while making them feel smarter, a truly evil creature.

i honestly have no idea what these people would have to talk about: asides from Joe Rogan, they don't seem to share anything in common asides from the fact that people call them smart a lot and they are profoundly aware of that fact. that, and a mutual disdain towards a vague unknown which they pretend to understand when they in fact do not.

i imagine that their conversation would be dull and dry, and full of people agreeing with each other, with Joe Rogan being constantly in awe of what he is hearing, and chaining the momentum of the entire conversation together in a sort of post-modernist train of thought (lack of) narrative style. in which after dinner they wii remember absolutely nothing specific about the conversation asides from the fact that "it was nice", and perhaps the food was unusual.
