Is everything a cope? Philosophy, logic, reason, nothing really matters. Since we are irrational beings, beauty and feelings are actually more important than the stuff listed above.

Ludwig here. If everything is a cope, then nothing can't be a cope. But it makes no sense to say anything is a cope unless it is possible to say some things aren't cope. Therefore, either some things aren't cope, or 'cope' is meaningless.

This. I mean, at the end of the day pointing something out as a cope is almost always treated as a means to distinguish oneself as someone who doesn't cope, or to distinguish other activities and values as "non-copes", but that sense of pride in non-coping or "facing reality" could in itself could be considered a cope, rendering the whole concept meaningless.

They aren't copes they're modes of being.

Nobody is 'right' they just have a particular set of value structures, beliefs (regardless if you're the religious type, principles etc. all influenced by a multitude of sources, external environment, experience, internal unconcious ideas and the genetic makeup that may or may not have you already pre-defined who you are, all of these place a certain importance, strength and activation event on beauty & feelings we experience in a moment.

Humanity itself is a cope, but so is the idea of cope.

We're all doing just what works for us, like an algorithm iterating upon itself to get better and better, we always want more. But life isn't about that, life just is, its far too strange for us to conquer with what we've made, so we should just use it to help ourselves function in a world we cannot control, as opposed to wanting to control it.

Of course, since everything you do exists within a matrix of opportunity cost, there's always an infinitude of unrealized options, and every action an infinite cope.

No, they are the product and pinnacle of the experience of living a successful, proper, balanced life. Sure, basing your life around 'figuring out' or 'knowing', especially based upon the categories you outlined, is cope, but that doesn't make everything cope.

Then what's so bad about coping according to this proposition? What transcendental ideal can you point to? Might as well continue to cope.

an example of coping would be listening to your favorite music after losing your job.

coping is not taking all or nothing stances as "facts are meaningless!!! it's all consensus!"
