Miso Soup was pants and not at all hardcore. I felt like I had blue balls by the end. I was waiting for the bloodshed to begin but it was just kinda seedy. I went in hoping for weeb American Psycho.

Depends what you like. If you are used to American Psycho or Night or Painted Bird, I reckon you might find it tame. It kind of takes a while to build and then the crescendo is just not there for me.

Definitely wait for the library to open if you want the paper book, don't buy it. You might like it, but I prefer something more heinous from a book like that.

I will say it does the sleaze elements well, not the violence though. It's no Clockwork Orange.

Well, yeah, that's kind of the point. There are so many classics that could be described the same way, like Notes from the Underground, for example.

He is popular because he can make films that are both experimental and fun, the storytelling and camera work in Irreversible and Enter the Void are very unique. (In Climax it got kind of gimmicky, desu). Regarding filmmaking, the other NFE stuff are pretty simple and straightforward.

No resent here, though, anon. I'm just right.
