Some of my favorite that my speak to you are: Antoine de Saint-Exupery (Le petit prince), Woolf (To the lighthouse), Perec (Life: A user's manual), Calvino (If on a winter's night a traveler), Faulkner (As I lay dying), Buzzati (The tartar steppe), Hölderlin (Hyperion), Jünger (Das abenteuerliche Herz). it's a bit much, that's all. he really goes overboard. I mean, the feelings are all relatable to anyone who's ever lived, so I did enjoy it for the most part, but the intensity of them are bonkers.

I find it interesting because I usually find stuff INFPs read a bit overwhelming, but now it seems it's the other way around. I loved reading Werther exactly because of the parts he went overboard. For some reason it made reading the book one of those rare ecstatic experiences.

also you need to be a genuine idiot to think that this shit is not fluid? what kind of human being functions in a way that is the same (as in dictated by supposed specific set qualities of your personality) at all times? it's the outside world that shapes the way how your personality operates in specific situations. I know you guys like shitty anime and it's so desired for you to be able to call yourself an extrovert or introvert, or: "am I a judging person, or perceiving ohhhh...", perhaps to make better sense of yourself, but it's not nearly as simple as you think it is. no person can even maintain the same general traits throughout a single day let it alone having it define you permamently. what a stupid crock of shit

Introversion and extraversion are pretty static.
One can be an introvert and be the life of the party and one can be an extrovert that no one likes to listen to and that is too shy to say anything.

Extroverts thrive around people and prefer to be around people more than alone, introverts get exhausted when being around people for too long.
Then there's a spectrum with everything in between.

>> No.15867959

and this post PERFECTLY shows your impaired thinking
you only think in this dichotomy, because you have forced upon yourself that you should think this way through external stimuli
the reality is that there is no spectrum on which particular people are placed, none. there's no quality of being fully extroverted or introverted or anything in between because it all depends on situations you put yourself into, people you meet with, amount of "spotlight" you're given in those situations, even time or the fucking day or your current mood or maybe even something banal such as whether your shit that morning was solid or not who the fuck knows
my point is that those tests are unrealiable because no one fully fits the archetype of "oneself" at all times let it be alone ever honestly. it's more of a guideline for how you should behave rather than analysis of what you are

I don't know what you mean by situational personality. MBTI does cover that - examples being some are conflict avoid, lash out under pressure, etc. Type reactions to stimuli are probably some of most discussed topics for MBTI.

You're being unreasonable about this whole thing. People DO fit into these archetypes. Obviously, it's not the totality of their being but the commonalities are noticeable and meaningful enough to matter, which is why this fucking thread was made.
