For those of you who are in college at a state university, I'm sure you are familiar with those annoying mass emails from freshmen in English classes who want you to take their shitty survey for their research papers. Well, I have come to /lit/ to request your help in an environment that clutters no stranger's inbox, so that I reduce the amount of annoyance created by my survey.

The survey is ten multiple choice questions that are about your lifetime experience with fairy tales.

I also respect the responses that I might receive from the denizens of /lit/ slightly more highly than say, the responses I might get from some random people on campus.

Fuck yeah, fairy tales. Love them.

Survey is done, Anon.

boy who cried wolf is the only one I remember hearing constantly

I love them too. My favorites are probably Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rumpelstiltskin. The Brothers Grimm recorded hundreds of little gems.

Yknow. Maybe I'm a moron, but I can't remember any real morals in these stories. Steal people's porridge and you'll get mauled by bears? If your grandma looks hairy have a man cut her apart?

Well, just off-hand from your Riding Hood example, I think the moral there was don't tell strangers where you are going. I see what you mean though, some of them have practically no lesson.

They are all the same though.
Santa Claus will give you coal if you are a bad kid.
I don't think they really ever go beyond that. Kids just end up getting fucked no matter what they do.

hansel and gretal - don't stray from the path, be wary of strangers (also possibly an anti-gluttony message)
rumpelstiltskin - be careful of what you say and think of the consequences
riding hood - don't talk to strangers
goldilocks and the three bears - respect other peoples property

What about Puss in Boots?

Still hoping for a few more responses. A huge thanks to everyone who has helped out so far!
