I used to take books from the library when I was younger. I'd take a few off the shelves and put them on the table, then spread all the crap in my backpack on a table like I was working. When it was time to go I'd shuffle the ones I wanted in with my papers and notebooks, and put the rest back on the shelves.

Dunno how to do it at a bookstore though.

I didn't. They were great additions to my shelf and I had a lot of fun rereading them over and over. I once stole a book from my mom's boss's son, too. She worked out of their house and the kid left a book by my favorite author that I hadn't read yet in the living room. In the bag it went.

I took some of their fruit rollups too.
