You are right. I struggle to put it into words but I know many who feel it. Possessing an intellect yet not having the supporting tools to rise up against the evil you have become aware of.

It seems like every great mind I come across joined the side of evil or overted his eyes, to live in a small-scale world of his own creation rather than rise to meet the large scale evil head on. We are prone to corruption. We can comment on it, bring awareness to it, and a rare few will be more than observers. What is there to do? Nothing, really. Even mass movements with the greatest of intentions are corrupted. You can try to carve out a life for yourself, have a family or live alone, be as good as anyone ever was, be kind to your neighbour, but the evil lives on even after our names are forgotten by our own blood. We can overcome evil at this individual level and die with nothing but love in our heart but it still exists out of sight and out of mind. To me that has been the hardest realization to accept.
