>What unites the four core members of the movement is an attempt to overcome both "correlationism"[6] and "philosophies of access". In After Finitude, Meillassoux defines correlationism as "the idea according to which we only ever have access to the correlation between thinking and being, and never to either term considered apart from the other."[7] Philosophies of access are any of those philosophies which privilege the human being over other entities. Both ideas represent forms of anthropocentrism.

>All four of the core thinkers within speculative realism work to overturn these forms of philosophy which privilege the human being, favouring distinct forms of realism against the dominant forms of idealism in much of contemporary Continental philosophy.

Sure there's a degradation of causation which more properly maps the occasioning of these irl.
Also assuming these are purely equal then a converse works in theory for truth preservation. We can see,
Man kiss girl (restatement)
Dick licks girl (converse and could imply on cheek)
Thus the rest don't follow unless we bound man to kissing wherever dick links on girl which would make it all need restructuring.

philosophical movements, practically all movements actually, are fictions made up by the media or by someone who wants to establish a 'point of history' to bind their name to and get recognition. in the case of philosophy it goes like this: force idea of a 'movement' in academia -> teach new comers this as historical fact -> keep forcing till it suffuses everyone and becomes common knowledge. or in some cases the media does this more directly because a market is set up the masses told that it's very important and status-ful (french philosophy).

>why don't people like analytic philosophy
They are narrow minded retards who think there is nothing outside the horizon of formalization, argument, and science. Many of them think there can be no thinking outside their kind of thinking. They are also oblivious that they do this. Why? Because they are ahistorical. Their lack of historicity has an additional failing that makes them uninteresting to anyone that has read broadly across philosophy outside analytics: if they inquire into something philosophically interesting they end up retracing the steps of continentals from a hundred or so years ago. Examples: (1) analytics talking about 4E cognition (like embodied cognition) and Merleau-Ponty/Heidegger. (2) Recent analytic aesthetic topics like "literary cognitivism" and aesthetic knowledge that is a re-hash of the German aesthetic tradition from the German romantics to Gadamer and Adorno. There are loads more examples (analytic philosophy of science is constantly "re-discovering" things that continental philosophers of science said a hundred years ago).

It wouldn't be so bad if they were open minded thinkers that read books (including literature) outside their experience, but they tend to be the opposite (and arrogant on top of it). Imagine higher functioning, slightly more sophisticated versions of science- and fallacy-loving redditors. That's what an analytic philosopher is.
