IN THE AFTERMATH OF POSTMODERNITY TWO CURRENTS DIVERGE IN PARALLEL TO ONE ANOTHER, AND IN MUTUAL ANTITHESIS, IN THE TWENTYFIRST CENTURY: (I) METAMODERNISM, AND (II) HYPERMODERNISM; THE FORMER IS WHOLESOME & SOULFUL; THE LATTER, MORBID & SOULLESS.

Hopefully post-humanism. Literally every single problem we have would be solved if we just stopped falling for the human meme and started pushing for superior cybernetic brains and bodies. The human condition is what inevitably enables stuff like racism, wars, murder, etc. Just get rid of these thousand year old monkey brains already.

That could be a good thing if it leads to anarcho-syndicalism.

:^)

Technology has fundamentally changed what it means to be human since we started using tools. I don't think transhumanism makes any sense, humanity is always changing and evolving with machines and always has. Just because it's happening at a faster rate now that doesn't mean we're gonna have a le epic cyberpunk dystopia or utopia.

modernism is nihilism
postmodernism is the weird inbetween state
there is no after postmodernism because the idea of something coming "after" postmodernism is modernist thinking. what happens is the lack of desire to move past nihilism or postmodernism, tied to the letting go of a need for truth in order to believe.

i guess "after" postmodernism is belief as truth. basically chaos magick religion ideaology post anarchism

Actually true holy shit.
Even though I despise "transhumanists", I like the idea a little bit, too. But more in the digital direction. Have you ever tried a *good* VR setup? It's great. And I can't wait for the future of it. It's so interesting to experience your brain adjusting to VR. You'll know if you try it out. I feel like this experience served as a reminder that we are more than our brains who are just the "controllers" for our body.
