In an effort to filter out pseuds and retards, I propose that we make a rule. Anytime someone's acting like a dumbass and throwing dogshit opinions and insults, an anon can respond with "Post Stack/Post Library", where they must post either their library of books or the at least the last few that they've read. This will allow us to judge the intellectual merit of anyone we have suspicion of, similar to "post body" on /fit/.
Here's an example of mine. The tall book on the far left is Paradise Lost. Pragmatism was a book my mom bought from a dollar bin but I never read it. The blue book on top also belongs to my parent.

A classic /lit/ pseud would feel too self-conscious to display any Murakami or 1984 like that.

Perhaps, but the point is to see if they're at least familiar with the material. It's not about taste.

Some of these books are from when I was still in highschool and getting into literature. The last few books I read were Anti-Oedipus, Cervantes and Decameron.

I always like how some shelves can just be ominously terrible without any of the books on their own being necessarily that terrible. I think your shelf is a good example of that.

This makes sense but it's very silly. If you want quality conversation you have to work very hard at becoming educated and through this you will know who is and isn't what level people are at and how deep they can go because you have depth. If you have no depth you won't be able to tell where it is in another.
Just study hard. Try to understand one thing well.

The figurines on your shelf are pseud as fuck.

I see plenty of dipshits on /lit/ posting stacks they'll never actually read or bookshelves full of things they haven't, and probably never will read.

My stacks are almost always small because I use the library and pirate ebooks, and my shelves are pretty empty.
