Your statement on first and second gen immigrants is untrue, the only people I have ever seen have such faith in 'intergration' are those that have never lived in an area with many immigrants.

This attitude is typical of wealthy students who are raised in the suburbs or countryside, and are extremely naive.

Here (in the UK) you can see the effects quite clearly. Families (including mine) move out of inner city areas as they become run down and less familiar.

You may blame it on poor migration policy, but it is the same all over western Europe. Half of my school were Indian or Pakistani, they all spoke their mother tongue fluently (whilst being 2nd or 3rd gen), all visited their homelands regularly, and were aware of the differences culturally between the English and themselves. Through lived experience I can say that you've hardly experienced the change immigration can produce and the ability to retain home cultures if you still believe that.

I like in UK too and I am from a lower mid class background, and honestly that's probably pushing it. I grew up with lots of Polish and Pakistani immigrants who embraced local culture, I've also known those who secluded themselves from it. And stuck to their own culture groups.

I know first generation immigrants who have done the same. I worked in between two Indian woman who disliked each other for their different approaches for their ancestorial culture.

My original point was all of the immigrants would be considered the same ethnicity despite their personal behaviour when it comes to adoption new culture.

I'm saying that the difference hardly matters in the end, as the moderate pressure applied to immigrant groups to conform is lost entirely as the host group becomes a plurality and then a minority. The pressure applied by the host culture matters a lot, but there is none currently.

Any experience growing up as a plurality over the past 5 or 10 years or so should show you what I mean.

Maybe you were right in the 80s or 90s when net immigration figures were below 100k, but now most 2nd/3rd gen immigrants are more religious and have a greater attachment to their home culture. Apart from some vague, happy clappy, 'British values' the culture shared is non existent

do you think sweden is the only one who have this demographic replacement happening to them? all european countries have a birth rate that is under replacement because of economic factors while migration is taking place to make sure house prices never drop so the birth-rate never goes up. if the birth rate is lower than replacement (and is brought forth that way by the use of an heightened price on housing and living) that constitutes genocide. genocide isnt always some fast bullet to the brain deal, it can also be a more sinister slow cooking of ethnic displacement of the indigenous peoples.
