Thanks fellas, you're right and you make me feel better.
I know the people I love have their own lives and they need to make the decisions that will positively impact their lives. Often times it seems to mean going very far away, and as a result they slowly go from me until they are gone. Is it selfish of me to secretly wish that they would stay with me?

It's not selfish, it's natural for some maybe most. As much as I'd like things and people to stay the same forever, we grow up and grow apart and that's just a part of life. If you really care though you should keep in touch and most of all: just reach out. A lot of my regrets with old friends and old loves stem from not keeping in touch even though I still want to and still could, but it feels like too much time has passed.

So just reach out; sorry for blogposting my friend.
