I hate the word art and artist because it's so overused today, but yeah, literature is the greatest art because it's closest to our speech and thoughts and humans work because they can think and talk about the things they can think about.
Music is second because of resonance with which we connect feelings, it's the closest expression to feelings compared to the real thing, but music can only get so complex and as much as I am a mu tard and as much as I do love mu core most of the themes expressed would be seen as overused and shallow in literature; a thirty minute song is not necessarily going to express more than a bunch of songs until it turns into an audiobook.
Painting and all other visual arts are next because we see things and touch them and the moment people can talk about whatever they see they tend to talk a lot.

tl;dr literature is art but the least art of arts because it's so broad. It can be very literal, very much said, thought--written word just as well as it can be extremely abstract and "more expressive"

could be good but isn't. i would say it's not even a real artistic medium but a variable assortment and sometimes pure game.
