Haha, well played. It looks as though the filmmakers put a bit of thought into it — Lecter canonically speaks fluent Italian and likes Italian culture, so it's a plausible book. I don't think it's a great choice though because Lecter would surely prefer a particular author's works rather than a random compendium. Also he prefers older things, classical or medieval.
