is it 1+1=2 that makes logic logical or is it logic that makes 1+1=2, 1+1=2? if its logic that makes it 1+1=2, than this results in a fundemental irrationality since logic isnt neccesary and it could have been that 1+1=3. but if its the other way around, there is fundemental rationality. but there is no reason to choose one over the other so this results in arbitrariness and irrationality. it is this going back and forth between rationality and irrationality that makes both of them what they are. as hegel said about being and nothing, rationality and irrationality are inseperable opposites that define each other but are devoid of content in and of themselves.
