Hello.
This is the first time i've been on /lit/
I don't know what to expect or what to discuss, because of my lacking knowledge. I've only read 5 Books in my life. What advice would you give me as a newcomer?

Start with the Greeks
Don't force yourself to read a book
Only pseuds care about intellectualism

Avoid the philosophyfags, if you want to stay sane.

Check the wiki. The order goes "start with the Greeks, Resume with the Romans, Continue with the Christians".

desu if you haven't read much, I would suggest simpler books than the greeks. Namely, 1984, Brave New World, Catcher in the Rye, American Psycho, etc. It's better to start with high school tier books to get a sense of how books "work". Then you move on to the Greeks.
