How do you remain focused on reading for longer than 20 minutes

>> No.18284909

>>18284897
find something that’ll keep your focus, if that’s nothing, then maybe reading isn’t for you.

Read what you enjoy.
If you don’t enjoy reading, then do something else that you do enjoy.
I walked 10,000 steps today because I enjoy it, and I feel great

Read something you enjoy, not meme lists from /lit/.

Don't worry OP, all high T males struggle to read at length. Just accept it and read in short bursts, curling up like a cat and reading for hours on end is a very feminine activity.

I never attain focus for reading until after about 20 minutes

>> No.18286356

It may be adhd but most likely its parasitic demons fucking with you for not doing what they want (they dont like it when you learn or meditate etc)
Sometimes I get near the 20 minute mark and my body goes super tense and a level of rage fills me I never experience before and I just want to dive through the wall.
Fuck em tho

>> No.18286377

I swear part of it is not having a good space to read. I don't have a comfy chair. I have a tiny room with a computer in it. You need to be primed by your environment for learning.

I guess the solution is to go to the library.

If aren't experiencing a sort of dream sequence you're either not educated enough or just low IQ and can't make the connections. Reading should NOT feel like reading.

>> No.18286488

>>18286461
Not sure this has anything to do with education or IQ, but yeah. When I read I'm not aware of reading text on a page, things just unfold in my mind.

>> No.18286661

Whenever I don't read for a while, my concentration span greatly diminishes. Towards the end of a book though, I can keep going for an hour or so without a break.

Start with short bursts, you will remain focused for longer in due time.
