I've disliked this book for at least 14 years now I'm just new to /lit/. When I was doing drugs lots of people enjoyed these books and the one with the dolphin on the cover, I didn't like it. It is just some scammy hippie trying to get nerd pussy and ego trip

I liked the insight on joining cults and some otf the imprinting and developmental stuff seemed to model humans well.

He really lost me with his optimism for progress and people just becoming smart and like getting along man. War ist just people being stuck in their anal phase.

i haven't read it, but i read it's sister book "undoing yourself - energized meditation", and enjoyed it quite a bit. everyone tells me that prometheus rising covers the same ground, but better. so you're getting entry level actionable occultism + timothy leary/CIA style brainwashing. fun, but be careful

All that being said, I still really like this book. I don't know. The basic ideas in it seem pretty solid.
