Depends on your circumstances, anon. Ideally you should own more books than you have read, so there will always be more for you to turn to. The proper ratio of read to unread (to the extent there is such a thing) will vary based on the individual. So long as an anon isn't just buying books to put on his shelf to get more internet /lit/ points with no intention of ever actually reading them, and isn't going into debt to finance his book acquisitions, it's fine to buy books without immediately reading them in full as soon as you get them.

>that purple and green Goblet of Fire paperback

Wow it brought back a repressed memory

>be me at grandmas house
>she lives in a trailer park because theyre poor
>neighbors are these horrific white trash people with two daughters, maybe 5 and 6 years old
>they lock the daughters outside while they do meth and fuck or whatever
>daughters playing outside with each other while I read a book in grandmas yard
>hey anon, anon, look at us!
>smile and say like one thing, then back to sitting on the stump and reading Goblet of Fire for the third time (I was a kid, okay?)
>theyre throwing dirt clods at one another
>the fight escalates to rocks and sticks
>one picks up a big sharp ended stick, maybe 2 feet long
>throws it at the other girl
>the stick flies through the air, rotating twice
>it flies DIRECTLY into the girls eye
>its fucking STUCK in there
>the girl starts screaming and running around as the stick protrudes from her eyeball, jiggling about
>the other girl is screaming, pounding on the door and begging for her parents to open it
>close my book and walk inside, shellshocked
>tell grandma what happened
>see the neighbors shitty car peel out

My understanding is the girl lost her eye.

Ya I organize by size because it helps distribute the weight better on cheap shelves. It looks nice too, but it’s to make the heavier weight on the bottom, lighter on top. When I get a new book I just hold it up to the others, find its place, and move the same width I’m putting in, from the side of the shelf, and move it down or up depending on how much wiggle room is available in the nearest direction.

It sounds like a lot of work but it’s really not. Maybe 30 seconds for every new book. I’ve been considering organizing them by chronological date but fuck it. I know where every book is

>How's that new edition of Myth of the 20th Century?
I have not finished looking over the new edition. However, Rosenberg's analysis on the corruptions in the west is noteworthy and interesting, it really helps bring the reader to better understand the staunch national socialist worldview and his idea of how things are broken, without being laden with as much easy to digest, populist rhetoric as Mein Kampf or everything written by Feder. Self professed national socialists and those who might hate "nazis" should probably give it a good read under a 19th century historical lens.
>Also, would those Guénon books make for a decent introduction into traditionalist thinking?
