This is my favorite book. I've read it several times. I think its superior to 1984 in the sense that I think it more accurately depicts the way society is headed in. What do you guys think of it? If you have a better book please suggest it.

I prefer lacademie. It combines all the famous dystopian novels together and is written by Waldun (whose bussy I lust after)

I agree, it has a better representation of the rampant hedonism and control tactics that are used on the western population nowadays (erotic content, literal drugs). 1984 had a few mentions of using porn to control the proles but it wasnt nearly as big of a theme.

true but at the same time I found them less fucked up than the people in the civilization. Even though they were privative and religiously masochistic they at least had morals and values. Like they tried to take in the lady but she was so brainwashed and whorish they outcasted her as soon as she started fucking everyone and getting constantly shitfaced. Yeah the hedonism bothered me. How they were revolted by the traditional family model and how they were all hyper socialized but still isolated. I liked Helmhotlz and how he was somewhat aware of how fucked up society was but still clueless at the same time.
