Try breath meditation but do the opposite of the advice Buddhists give you to avoid danger. Actually focus on the hallucinations you get when you meditate for a while. When there's a presence, talk to them. And when your soul leaves your body, just explore the astral plane.

It wasn’t though, Shankara BTFO’d Yogachara as well as the Madhyamaka conception of consciousness; and then the Mahayanists were unable to provide a response to any of his arguments, and in their attempts to attack Advaita they shoot themselves in the foot by mistakingly thinking Advaita accepts sahopalambha, which it doesn’t, and then their arguments against Advaita fail since they rely on this wrong assumption and so their arguments don’t even apply to Advaita to begin with.

In fact, there was just an article published in an academic journal about Buddhism last month that documents how Shantarakshita and Kamalasila completely fail to refute Advaita or even get its basic position right. They go through their arguments line by line and comment each time with stuff like “this doesn’t present any challenge to Advaita” and “we’re not sure why Shantaraksita assumed this”
