I read 24 pages of a book today. Is this an extraordinary reading accomplishment I ought to be proud of

I read the whole picture of Dorian Gray and now started the biography of Napoleon by Roberts

I love weekends so much it's unreal. It's 3 am and I'm taking a break, I'll go read until 6 am today.

You read more in a day than the average /lit/ user reads in a year.

Yes, but don't let yourself be content with that. Push yourself to read more. You can do it frend :)

Sorry, didn't want to sound like this. Yes, it's good. I read less than OP on the workdays. I was implying it's good we have a weekend because all of us can read as much as we want without worrying.

That's amazing, let's goo

How was it? And why do you read this?

>How was it?
Excellent, excellent! It is as if someone were to set up what had been knocked down, or to point out the way to one who had got lost, or to bring an oil-lamp into a dark place, so that those with eyes could see what was there. Just so the Reverend Gotama has expounded the Dhamma in various ways.

Why? Because I find it a combination of insightful in parts and just interesting in others. And just from his words I can tell we exist on some common plane which I rarely find with any author or person.

I'm aiming to read 50 pages on average but 24 isn't anything to be ashamed of.
