I already did "early covid christmas" with the folks. Turned out to be good timing between current omicron fear porn and some recent confirmed cases at work. Got two chess books and Basic Mathematics, among other goodies. Got dad a model kit of a plane and one or two other things, got mom a stuffed animal which was a hit and went over much better than I expected. Not my most creative gift-giving year but there it is.

Already correctly guessed that my father will buy me the posthumous Graeber book as he knew I liked the guy. I also asked for a People's History of the US. Hopefully, I'll get that, too. Excited to read both
