but i strongly disbelieve i'll get an answer on /r/
about 10 years ago i found online what i remember as an abstract short story or poem revolving around identity and persecution. i was p young but i really, really loved it. the only contents i can recall now though is the author referring to those who are ostracized for their identity (presumably queer, idr if that's made clear,) or otherwise, their outcast status, as "crooked trees"
yea that's about it, does anyone have any clue what i'm talking about
