If you're an atheist then sure why care. But if you're claiming to be into religion and a traditionalist you have to take religion seriously and avoid heresy. Islam clearly directly contradicts Christianity. Either one is true or the other. If Christianity is true, Islam is from the devil. If Islam is true, Christianity is from the devil. There are no compromises and "perennial teachings" here.

Perennialism is a meta-religion for secular people to dabble in without becoming overly embarassed by chosing a belief. It's fundamentally agnostic to say all religions contain the same "primordial tradition." Well if water is so wet why don't you have a sip? Or were you not thirsty in the first place? Just as western philosophy has no soteriological or metaphysical consequences (my theory is this, my theory is that, hmmm yes fascinating yes, but did you consider?), the so-called perennial philosophy engages in the same cataloging of opinions to admire. If one cannot create their own values, they would do better to observe another's. This half-measure of cobbling together three or four religions to come up with something mutually objectionable to anyone who belongs to them borders on a naive anthropology. Visit the primitives of the different oceans, write your paper on them, and try to conclude something about the early man who is no longer here except by inference. But the anthropologist never pretends he is decisively and truly the early man like the perennialist does. The perennialist concludes his primitives are all too stupid to be true primitive, that he has realized the true primal religion. But those primitives all have what he lacks, a genuine spirit and community.

Accordign to Islam as well. Muslims believe Christianity is a most damnable blasphemy against Allah because it claims he has a son. These are not reconcilable in any way. I don't know much about hinduism but I bet it also claims to be the exclusive truth. Same with Judaism. Buddhism is basically atheism though so it's irrelevant.
