I didn't claim that anywhere. You can find innovation in any population at the right side of the distribution. How much you're going to find is going to depend I suppose. East Asia has always been a place capable of genuine innovation that seems to have been held back by certain cultural quirks which you could at the end of the day call the result of some sort of inherent disposition, or you could not. South Asia though? I don't know, history doesn't really seem to convey to me at least that it is a place with innovative populations. And if the smartest people in India are incapable of creating a brighter future in India, what hope would they have of doing it here? I'm skeptical. My own experiences with Indians in the workplace leads me to a similar conclusion. Intelligent and hard working, but I don't think I've ever met one I'd call creative.
