I'll probably stick mostly to pre-2000s classic kid books, maybe enlivened by the occasional adaptation of a classic for-grown-ups novel. "The Hobbit" is definitely making an appearance at some point; it has to be about the perfect kids' book.

Nah, there's probably a ton of books with white people on the cover just to the left that the photographer conveniently left out. But you stick with whatever gets you off.

I will make up stories for them tailored to their current interests and the events in their lives. Making up stories on the spot for kids is fun, complete artistic freedom. When they start reading i will take them to the store/library, let them pick their own books and they will read to me. Pretty much what my parents did for me.

i love the dynamic of the OP and this post.

western civilization is so utterly broken and doomed that simply taking a picture of an average books store selection in 2022 unironically fits the criteria for a race baiting image because of the sheer quantity of nigger garbage everywhere

its like if you made a thread with a photo of an average london street and someone said "omg why are you race baiting" because an average london street is obviously going to be filled with pakis and other trash

I'm a little disappointed no one mentioned The Phantom Toll Booth. My wife told me she was pregnant two weeks ago. I'm very much looking forward to revisiting A.A.Milne, Brian Jacques, Tove Janson, Narnia (I would say C.S. Lewis, but I read his apologetics constantly), Roald Dahl, and of course Dr. Seuss. I don't think that I have ever been happier in my life.

These books aren't actually meant to be read by anyone. Its just money laundering.
Corrupt politician puts forth policy to mandate woke shit in schools, tells his mates to write some woke shit, libraries around the country forced to buy it, politicians mates make bank. It's the same reason every dogshit politician makes a memoir even though nobody would ever read it.
