A good book would be

>One the accurately and precisely documents some person, place or thing without being stuffy or overflowing with misc info.
>One that attempts to teach a moral or ethical lesson without enforcing strawman ideologies or utilizing 2-dimensional/static characters.

good books can have all sorts of different styles and voices and themes and still be good. there is no set of definite criteria for a good book

Also, I wasn't attempting to imply a book ahad to have all three points. Each point represented a differetn type of book.
Point 1 was your classic fiction story. Point 2 is any non-fiction book. Point 3 is any fictional book that focuses on a certain philosophy.
