I get what you mean and the phenomenon you’re describing is real, but the Iliad has some really deeply emotional moments. I can see how you would be skeptical of someone’s attachment because the psychology of the characters is pretty foreign, but if it happens to remind you of something in your own life, I don’t being moved by it is implausible.
