Because it's colored by contemproary monotheism. The ancient greeks had a concept of divinity and metaphysics that modern atheist would think are superstitious, but are also alien enough to classical theism that it can be viewed by monotheists as atheistic. Is the Unmoved Mover God? I don't really know.
