What's the best way to enhance a language you're learning after high school?

I took up to Italian 5 in hs and, while I'm not perfect (especially speaking), I can understand a lot of it. My biggest problem for now is expanding my vocabulary, as I pretty much understand the grammar and stuff.

Besides full immersion/moving to somewhere really Italian (I can't do either as I'm in a college dorm at the moment), what does /lit/ suggest I do to keep up my Italian and learn more?

I study English by playing Final Fantasy and talking on 4chan. I think I'm doing fine.

In my experience, anything goes. You just gotta have as much experience with the language as possible. Books, movies, vidya and even borderline illiterate message boards - it's all surprisingly useful.
