ive found his videos (or at least what ive seen of them) to be of pretty high quality, though slightly reductive
it is clear he puts a lot of effort into them and actually reads the primary texts instead of skimming the wiki and spouting some vague nonsense trying to give off the impression to have actually bothered to do their research
what i found most pleasant is that he tries to present the arguments each philosopher gives and which lead to their conclusion rather than just stating them as empty, dogmatic opinions (like many other youtubers seem to do)
overall hes pretty good id say

it's a very good channel, but the drop in audio quality when he is outside ticks me off. he doesn't need to be recording in nature or in the city at all

Used to be a very good youtuber when he was specializing in postmodern thought and actually had a measure of respect for what he was making. He’s obviously from a pomo school, his grasp of Deleuze and Foucault is much better than any of his peers on youtube. The issue with all intellectual content across the internet really comes down to the issue of viewership and money though. He could continue to make rigorous, intellectual content and make no money and have no one watch his shit or he could make sprawling, skin-deep overviews and make a lot of money and have a lot of views. He’s obviously chosen the latter. I mean, the video in OP pic is an absolutely fucking embarrassing interpretation of Hegel. He literally used the thesis-antithesis-synthesis triad like it’s not on page one of every serious Hegel scholar’s work as an example of what Hegel is NOT. He’s also become extremely sloppy in his Heidegger videos as well which is strange considering his early videos on Heidegger are mostly on the mark.

Judging from his video titles he's a neo-marxist or at least closeted. Just look at all the "immigration being bad is a social construct" "avant garde and and Stalin" "Russell Brand is le chud conspirator"' "capitalism bad" etc. And he seems to be taking advice about being authentic from the stalinist frog Sartre. Disgusting. I don't doubt his videos in the postmodernists are good, seems to be his area of expertise, and the videos seem to explore their ideas.in depth rather than shoe horing in their politics every other minute. Gonna check them out.

He trumps all the ""breadtubers"", because he is the only one who actually read books.
