Looking at stuff people have done with AI online is underwhelming because their descriptions aren’t specific enough, I was able to type in paragraphs of description and it understood me very well, so my overtly few scripture style of writing was perfect for inspiration to make prompts for generating images. As a terrible writer and someone who uses descriptions to compensate for that, this was very exciting. Here is a character from one of my short stories:
>He wore worn lined pants, and a simple brown buttoned leather coat, however contrasting with his well kept blonde hair, and dark blue eyes. Strange, most of the time dark eyes were boring, but his were fascinating as they were something that was not usually dark, blue, like a duck that should be brown suddenly black.

>His body was tough, yet his skin pure and smooth, like marble, or limestone. It had been sculpted by a life-time of work of course, yet it had seemed subliminal that it could be weaponized at any second, at least compared to most people. “Physical strength is a mark in a way, a beautiful one yet a source of fear for some.”, he thought as he put on his gray collared shirt, peering into the tiny mirror, the dust obscuring his long silver hair, the little glass that was clean allowing him to peer
Oh btw the generator is bing dalle3. I tried running Stable division but my PC can’t run it because like my characters I am poor.

At the steps of the church stood a girl in blueish robes matching the ocean below, that went down to her feet, wearing a white blouse under it. She looked like a nun though she probably wasn’t as her thick long light brown hair blew in the wind, easily showing her, rounded yet angular bright green eyes, quiet at the moment in wait. Up close he noticed silver necklace, the top like a cross, but the bottom like an anchor. She smiled at him mouth closed, her face not creasing at all but her eyes growing wider.
>He noticed as she was pouring the drinks, despite her conservative clothing, and thin dollish face, it did not restrict her busted, somewhat chubby figure from showing.

He is one of the gods of the world. The god of freedom and chaos . He created the humans in the setting, together with the great dragon god Perkunas. However, unlike Perkunas who was the paragon of everything that is good and just and protected humans forever, he always preferred to just wander around the world and see its beauties. The story starts sometime after Perkunas got killed by a hero and deals with the ramifications of losing such a benevolent god, and the world slowly progresses to a new era of chaos, wars and warlordism as the Bard God refuses to accept his role as the new King of Gods and protector of the world.

AI does not translate good prose into good images. You have to enter prompts a certain way to get the best results, although modern AI software is a lot more forgiving now. Because your description included the word duck it gave your character a bird cage with a pigeon thing. It did get the jacket color and eye color right, which a year ago AI couldnt do.

I always get the best character generations with vague descriptions that evoke certain emotions, and then I change colors and details like hair style myself in photoshop.

The descriptions were not what I used, rather what inspired the prompts. The bird and cage are referenced in the story but in another excerpt I did not post, also I did not use duck as a prompt, that was just in the description of his eyes I based it off.

Yea, you need to tard wrangling it a lot, if you want anything specific. Just getting the Bard Gog to look like that took a lot of time.

I hear a small tap at the passenger window. I turn my head and see a statuesque blonde with ringlets of gold hair piled high on her head. Her pale blue eyes twinkle in the dim light. Her manicured finger raps gently on the glass. I crack the window.

“Hi! I’m Annabelle. Shh. Can I come in? Let’s go!” She says with a cloyingly girlish voice.
I unlock the door . She quickly hops into the back seat. The scent of lilac hits me all at once. Not any lilac, the expensive stuff. It was intoxicating. Her soft pink shrug seems to glow in the street lights. A bright smile graces her pink lips. She bats her long eyelashes at me cutely, gently tilting her head like a confused dog.

When you have it generate a character, can it remember that character (or a cast of characters) so you can put them in different scenes doing different stuff?

That would be really useful for making a storyboard or comic book or illustrating a novel, but if it's making a new character each time, it seems kind of pointless.

>so you can put them in different scenes doing different stuff?
You could save the prompt and modify it but they still won’t look exactly the same.

Comics have been made with AI but they aren’t that great.

That sucks then. I wonder if that's just a capability they are restricting or if it's something that's fundamentally difficult for them to implement

It actually is possible but takes more effort than most people are willing to do. Here's how to do it:

> Design a character. I'll call them "Steve"
> Make enough versions of Steve in different mods and from different angles to be able to train a model of them
> Train the AI model to recognize Steve
> Use an AI that has pose capabilities. Make a pose and tell it to draw Steve.
> Ai draws Steve

This will need to be done for every character as well as any locations you need to remain consistent. Ok, so locations won't need poses but you get the idea. It's a lot of work and not everyone has the patience to get it done. But it can be done.

Moods, not mods. Typo.

If you have different clothes outfit, those need to be modeled as well.

You can make book covers, and book illustrations for every chapter or important scene, without having to pay some rich piece of shit drawer to draw it for you.
