Hi /lit/

I'm considering reading Fahrenheit 451 next. I liked Brave New World and loved 1984, so this seemed like a good book.

What does /lit/ think about it? Is it any good? What can i expect?

Thank you very much for your opinion.

Fahrenheit 451 is great, I like Bradbury's short stories more though.

I didnt think it was anything special, but its a short book, give it a go regardless. Maybe you'll enjoy it.

Damn good, really interesting and relevant today considering the concept of parlor walls in relation to the internet.

Read it foo.

Pretty sweet. One scene involving the "weird"girls outside, Bradbury writes amazingly in those one or two pages, like the best thing ever written.

Read the pedestrian first. Bradbury said it was pretty much a prequel. You don't have to read it to understand f451, it's just a really sweet short story and shows the world f451 is set in.

It'll make you think a lot about the depressing decadence of modern society

I liked it, but you will never convince me Bradbury wrote anything better than The Martian Chronicles.

Yes, even if you remind me that it wasn't written as a novel, but as short stories over a period of years.

Pretty good, the last part was dragging at times, though.
