.pdf files are horrible; I avoid converting them since the Chapter title and page number end up intermingling with the text. I simply set the screen to a sideways view so that I can view the text in a decent size.
As for .lit, .epub, .txt and .html files, I simply convert them using Calibre since they all seem to migrate well to .mobi format.
