Let's share experiences of when we looked back on some old writings and thought, "What was I thinking?"

I reread some of my college essays the other day and immediately understood why I didn't get accepted, holy hell, they were bad.

I reread something I wrote last year. It was fucking terrible and I was trying way too hard. Funny thing is an English teacher who also read it really wants me to submit it to the school's literary magazine that no one really cares about. Unsure I'll go through with it.
