Anything regarding meditation goes.

You already know, lego..

I want to pick up meditation again but I'm not sure which flavour. Zazen feels a bit "cold" to me. Might want to go in the Theravadan direction.

I've been practicing mindfullness of breath for nearly ten years. Couldn't live without it.

Check Mindfulness-based stress reduction program out. I think it gives you a nice foundation for whatever practice you may want to choose later.

The program involves sitting meditation (zazen), body scan meditation and yoga, among other things.

Do you try to use it all the time, or do you just practice it 'formally'?

How would it be? It's people trying to apply the teachings of the Buddha within the context of their culture, like all Buddhists have done. Hell, like the Buddha has done.

>How would it be? It's people trying to apply the teachings of the Buddha within the context of their culture

If they're really that attached to their culture, perhaps it would make more sense for them to seek spiritual fulfillment or whatever in a Christian context. If they're really that attached to Buddhism, they should realize that religion and culture are bound up in each other and be prepared to make some adjustments. But attachment to specific cultures and/or religious forms isn't very 'Buddhist' in the first place.

Pretty much, there's always something to learn.

Highschoolers look like big geniuses to 3rd grader, but then see how highschoolers view adults in the middle of their careers, and so on.

That's the point. What's why where is nothing wrong with westernised Buddhism. People have cultures so they will put teachings they receive in their cultural context.
