>Draft a short abstract of an Alt History Fiction book based around the premise that the following event never happened.

From its founding, Stoic doctrine was popular with a following throughout Greece and the Roman Empire, including the Emperor Marcus Aurelius, until the closing of all philosophy schools in 529 AD by order of the Emperor Justinian I, who perceived their pagan character as being at odds with the Christian faith.[3][4]

The Wall is goofy and overblown though, not saying it's bad. It just has no sense of subtlety.

If philosophy was never closed down or if Stoicism never developed at all?

Are you trying to justify that the Dark Ages would have never happened without the Christianization of Rome? I would say the monopolization of trade by the Muslims had a lot more to do with that, and it would still be pretty much the same if the philosophy schools were never shut down.

But if Stoicism never developed ever, there would be a more fascist or utilitarian slant, and maybe individualism would have never developed.
