Back in High School I read an interesting poem about Christian hypocrisy. I remember it being about a priest who walked past a beggar as he was collecting money for a tour of his Church.

Any help?

Just got through writing terrible Logical Positivist propaganda here and that's what they told me.

Just find the damn poem.

I'm interested in the poem itself, not trying to attack religion. I remember it discussing in fair detail frescoes and the like.

I have the poem, here it is:

Christians are hypocrites,
They like stuff.
Stop liking what I think Jesus didn't like.
Ooga booga,
These edges are cutting me up on their own.

Bye.

To be honest, I don't know the poem's title. I just don't want to bump the thread though.

Are there actually people who believe that religious myths are supposed to be taken as literal statements about world? Can you spell 'strawman'?

To find the poem I literally googled, "fresco christian hypocrisy poem church priest beggar."

Just so you know.

Why does it give so many people so much pleasure to critique Christianity?

>lol hypocritical dumb Christians huehuehue

Yes. It's a religion. Its core value is faith. We get it. Why can't we move on?

these people are usually none other than underage teenage atheists getting their angst on; who haven't read anything past dawkin's degenerate books of brainwash

theology is very interesting to study

That image doesn't exactly fill my atheist mind with confidence.

"Oh well it all started with some big bang thing. Fuck knows why. Pretty sure thats how it started, anyway. We really can't think of anything else so it must be how it started."

They're called religious people.

Did you read the evidence thing as well? Of course that still allows for scepticism, but at least it's something beyond "because I said so".

A notable portion of them does take those myths literal.

How is it "edgy" to think that someone who claims to follow the teachings of Jesus ought to actually do so, and if he or she doesn't, then telling others to, is hypocritical?
