What's the best book you read in your childhood, and could still go back and read it now?

Mine's the Twig (The Edge Chronicles) Trilogy, it's a big read but I've read it several times.

My Internet's crappy, I wonder if this will get through.

I still own The Edge Chronicles, they're easily my favourite child series... I think the Wolf Trilogy was the best, but I just loved them all.
I loved the idea of Sanctaphrax, the city and especially the Twilight forest (sorry if that's a bad translation, I can't remember all the right names). I wish I could own a Sky Ship... And those drawings, just pure eye candy! The only bad thing is that the Dutch publisher stopped translating them after the first Wolf book, so I own the second and last part and The Immortals in English, in crappy paperback editions because I can't find nice hard covers any more... It's a shame, because the Dutch editions had very nice covers (see image).

Anyway, I love to finally see one mention these series! I really should read them again.

The edge chronicles were the shit. Beyond the deepwoods and it's illustrations...

The Edge Chronicles were god tier.

Fuck yeah, The Edge Chronicles. I swallowed the first books voraciously. I still think it's one of the most interesting fantasy settings I've read to this day.

I think the guy called it the Hungry City series. Mortal Engines, Predators Gold, the third one, and A Darkling Plain. I loved that shit.

His Dark Materials

I loved The Serpent's Egg when I was a young one. Cheesy kid fantasy but it was gripping from what I recall. I just found out now that it was a trilogy.

I am debating reading them now.

Island of the blue dolphins, and yes I definitely could.

>> No.3435600

I haven't read it in like thirteen years, but The Secret Garden was my absolute favorite book around kindergarten to first or second grade ish. I've probably read it five times at least (okay, it's not that much, but that's a pretty good amount for that age)

oh fuck yes that book

And that one series, I think it was called the Bartimaeus trilogy or something along those lines, was awesome too.

This, also
Alice in Wonderland and The Princess Bride. Used to adore fantasy romances, especially Ruriterian.
And yes of course.
